Food Basket Inc. Executive Director Nani Lee, Ph.D states:
“Thank you so much for your generous contribution to our 9th Annual Spring
Food Drive with Kahikina Ching.
The Food Basket is the only Food Bank on the Island of Hawai`i. It is an
island wide, supplemental food network that collects and distributes
nutritious, high quality food to low income households, the working poor,
the disabled, the ill, senior citizens, children’s programs and other
charitable organizations that serve this population. Supplemental food is
provided regardless of religious beliefs, gender or ethnicity.
In 2010 our distribution increased by 18.18%. Through our agency partners,
we served 568,621 duplicated individuals across the Island of Hawai`i.
Your generous donation will assist us in our mission to feed the
