Royal Hawaiian Movers in Kona had the privilege of participating at this year’s Kona Marathon and Family Runs. Royal Hawaiian Movers provided trucks and manpower to ensure the events ran smoothly for the organizers. A big fun part of this event is the Keiki Run where kids from the ages of 1 through 15 can participate in their own marathons respectively. Captured in the picture is Zoey Blake (1 year old daughter of proud parents Mariah Sanford-Blake and Zach Blake, employees of Royal Hawaiian Movers, who were overjoyed at her top 10 finish in the 100 yard dash).

Aside from being a race, the Kona Marathon is a philanthropic organization working with various organizations to raise money for their cause. “Four national charity groups also participated with the Kona Marathon this year bringing participants from around the country to raise money in support of each of their missions. Groups represented were, Crohns and Colitis, Team Challenge, Team to End Aids – Houston chapter, Susan G. Komen Marathon for the Cure and American Stroke Association. As a result of the Kona Marathon charity program these organizations raised over $502,000”.
