There are two issues that pertain to the shipping of alcohol that you must be aware of, federal regulation and state/county regulation. For the most part, federal regulation is in place to provide tariff restriction or duties on foreign alcohol products. These duties are available on the U.S. Customs website.

State and County issues are concerned with the re-sale aspects of distribution. At certain levels the State of Hawaii and its four counties have legislation in place to control the amount of liquor that can be imported by an individual. Following are the four counties and their respective Liquor Control Boards:
