Professional Hawaii Mover Royal Hawaiian Movers has once again teamed up with ReStore in support of a great cause.  6 months ago, we saw Royal Hawaiian Movers spreading the Aloha in Kona.  Now, we see them working with Habitat Hilo in a combined effort to help ensure that underprivileged families are given the opportunity to start over and build their lives in a new home.

Thousands of dollars worth of merchandise (enough to fill FIVE 40 ft containers) was donated by Elements Hospitality, a Lynden, Washington based company who focuses on renovations and improvement of hotels, resorts, and personal properties.  This year’s donation to the Habitat ReStore in Hilo, HI included a variety of items, including water heaters, refrigerators, miscellaneous furniture, microwaves, dishwashers, kitchen cabinets and counter tops, interior doors, and much more!

Habitat ReStore Manager Rex Lauer (below, left) recognized that the transportation of these goods from Punaluu to Hilo (a 120-mile round trip), would not have been made possible had it not been for the last minute assistance of local Hilo Mover Royal Hawaiian Movers.   In his own words, Lauer states, “Without the help of Royal Hawaiian Movers, I’m not sure how we could have brought all this great merchandise to our store.  Their help was invaluable and we can’t thank them enough.”

Royal Hawaiian Movers provided the trucks, the containers, the fuel and the truck drivers, and they were more than happy to support such a great cause.  Hilo general Manager Mei-Lin Gorman confirms, “When Rex approached me to ask for help moving the furniture, I didn’t even have to think about it. I just had to clear it with our management.   It was truly a blessing to be able to help.”

The Hale Aloha o Hilo Habitat will benefit from the above proceeds, using the generated funds to continue the construction of Habitat homes throughout the Hilo community.
